for amselcom, london-based jaya shakira reworked the track in her fairy-like style, adding a piano that shows off the composition talent of loversrock. for the remix of her rework decalculator brought iannis ritter s smoky voice into the project. the artists achieve a calm, but poppy convergence, which fully does justice to the original monster/by loversrock. the b-side is a trip into oldschool sample based techno funk, containing the tracks freak and shade. freak plants a funny but dangerous musical description of a techno enthusiast into your ears. the samples used in shade sound like they could ve been recorded at the zoo and present a variety of mystic sounds.

the swedish trance duo son kite is back, releasing their first album in ten years. and they are on a mission. *dancing is a very important ritual. our main mission as artists is to make people get into this trance state*, they say. since the release of their third album *colours* in 2004, marcus henriksson and sebastian mullaert have been focusing on their other project minilogue, touring the world and gaining increasing popularity in the house and techno scene. with *prisma*, released on november 17th and consisting of seven tracks made between 2007 and 2014, the duo leaps back to the endless energy and enthusiasm they felt when they first started making music together in 1996. and back to what it is all essentially about, according to the two musicians: getting into the all-important dance ritual and reaching the trance state.

great debut release for electronic emergencies hailing from rotterdam! they present their first release, a new album of dutch cold wave legend das ding: why is my life so boring?

an ornate globe made with many layers of exotic woods spins on its axis. through the stained glass window diffuse light casts russet hews across the study. looking out over the walled garden to an orchard, great swollen purple and black fruits hang malevolently from mangled moss-covered trees. a gentle wind pushes the tangled branches and as they creak and moan the fruits thud lazily to the ground, gathering in mouldering clusters on the dewy grass.

the ep is called spotlight diktat in reference to the feeling some djs have when they are on tour. a kind of dj melancholia generated by airplanes, dehumanized hotels, waiting hours in boring terminals, basically traveling alone. i made these tracks out of this mood. at first they sounds like the typical groovy dance tracks, but when the melody comes out, you immediately feel there is something wrong now the track is on and you still dance (of course its made for that) but you could almost cry to it too. so this is what happens when a dj or a producer has to do their job, but they aren t really in the mood for it. when the party comes, they just forget everything and make the show happen regardless. they have to bear the spotlight diktat and keep on entertaining people regardless of what they have in mind.

two re-worked tracks from their previous collaboration in 2013 that needed to get released. in 2013 these two friends spent quite sometime in the studio together which cumulated in a three-track release on butanes own imprint alphahouse. during the progression and fine tuning of these three tracks two of them, at one point, got a different interpretation. here they are.

intelligent communication. since 1967, astronomers have been receiving and cataloging very precisely timed radio pulses coming from sources they call pulsars. they have long assumed these to be natural sources, exotic spinning stars that emit laser-like radio beams that sweep through space much like lighthouse signal sequences. highly regular flashes and complex signal ordering are produced through intelligent modulation of their beam s intensity and direction of polarization. more significantly, through their seemingly purposeful geometrical alignments, pulsars appear to be conveying a coherent message. are these beacons from an intelligent origin? and are they warning beacons to warn us against the next shockwave that comes of the active galactic nucleus ore want they attack us? it might be prudent to consider whether we are talking about friends or foes.....mike storm.

jeroens commemorating his roots by re-releasing a selection of search records from days gone by. each has been remastered in such a way that it retains its authentic and timeless energy. pressed onto fresh vinyl, this limited series contains some of the finest search tracks ever to be put out, handpicked by jeroen himself. in light of that it might be easily forgotten that jeroen search has been creating techno since the early nineties. and that he ran one of the most influential labels around back then: >search<. between 1996 and 2001 it was home to a host of releases, many from jeroen himself. released on vinyl and without any reprints, they ve since hidden in the record collections of a select few.

the platform is extremely crowded, however, and she cant get to mick, who is standing at the opposite end, so she shouts his name. two other passengers relay the message to mick that sue wants to talk with him. what does she want? mick relays back. tell him that im not going to marry richard, sue shouts. why not? mick asks. -because i love you! she relays. when the message finally gets to mick, he tries to make his way through the crowd but he cant get to sue, so he climbs on top of the crowd and walks over the peoples shoulders to get to her. in the final scene, they embrace while the crowd cheers.

little boxes recordings brings the second maxi single on 12 inch vinyl with a mixture of starbuds electronic elements and cotton candys handmade guitar strings. on the a side they create their imagination of modern dance music. the b side brings a fine techno based track with lot of syntheziser parts by starbud. the second song on the b side gives a warmer feeling with a guitar based piece of their minds.

after a successful debut release with untitled gear, croatian label continues their journey through fields and forests. still exploring the russian federation, only this time they hired udacha s honcho and main protagonist a5. record kicks off with fantasy. a dreamy kalimba piece which eventually evolves into a deep house track and could be described as a soundtrack from your latest dream while raw abstractionism doesnt disappoint its name. on the flip side we are introduced to the afro banger torri wowo which feels almost like driving through safari on a truck. acoustic cut calms things down and brings us to an end with a clear message.

following eomac’s debut album “spectre” on killekill, released earlier this year, here come remixes of the three most outstanding track sof the album. tommy four seven picked the title track spectre, taking away some of the dense texture of the original, speeding it up a bit and adding some straight-forward percussion to turn the original into a big anthem for the mellow moments on the dancefloor. lars stöwe aka anstam is using his anno stamm-alias to rip the distorted bassline of the grimey su riddim out and add some playful bassline variations and some serious 808 business to it to turn it into a peaktime banger with lots of chicago flavour. and do what they do best and turn shell of dark into a half-tempo stomper that after a while breaks up to a devastating weapon of distorted drums and melodies.

modelmaker is a new london label from the collective minds of dan berkson and james what. the esteemed house duo has long been garnishing a range of international imprints with their inventive analogue house and techno sounds, but now they are focussing on their own outlet. initially launching with a couple of self penned eps, release number three will be the pair s long-time-in-the-making debut album, and after that a considered selection of other talents will join the ranks as the label pushes on. always primarily focussed on machine made, texturally rich house and techno, each release will come with unique artwork based on works from whats great grandfather, conrad felixmuller, who was a well known german expressionist.
